Infusion Therapy Ambulatory

Ambulatory Infusion Therapy allows treatment of patients that require expert-level administration of medication but don’t necessarily need to be in an inpatient facility. Ambulatory infusion pumps such as CADD Solis, Curlin 6000 cms, Hospira Gemstar, or Qcore Sapphire Epidural can deliver this medication intravenously or via epidural infusion, intermittent epidural infusion, and patient-controlled epidural.

Ambulatory infusion pumps are typically handheld devices that allow patients to move around without an IV pole. These devices are well-suited to patients that require continuous or repeated infusions. Infusion pumps may also be used for patients needing chemotherapy, insulin delivery, or pain management to ambulatory infusions.

Centers for ambulatory infusions and other approved facilities for outpatient management can also offer this point of care to patients.

Peak Medical Resources has a range of single-channel infusion pumps that can improve safety across complex infusions. For patients that only require an infusion pump short-term, we have rental plans available. Alternatively, you can purchase an ambulatory infusion pump if your medical needs are long-term. We also purchase pre-used ambulatory infusion pumps.

  • CADD Solis

The CADD®-Solis VIP (variable infusion profile) Ambulatory Infusion Pump uses software that allows the pharmacist or nurse to program the pump protocols, saving them time by not having to program the infusion pumps manually.

The CADD Solis has a patient-focused interface that reduces training time and reporting to provide insight into patient history for assessment.

  • Curlin 6000 CMS

The Moog/Curlin 6000 Ambulatory Pump is capable of continuous; patient-controlled analgesia (PCA), patient-controlled epidural analgesia (PCEA), subcutaneous, intermittent, and variable modes.

The benefits of the Curlin 6000 CMS are that it works with a PC and has access to actionable reports that provide detailed infusion information.

  • Hospira Gemstar

Gemstar devices are single-channel infusion pumps. They are specifically designed to improve safety across complex infusions and offer seven therapy features, including pain management, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), continuous, variable time, weight dosed, intermittent, and mL/hr only.

  • Qcore Sapphire Epidural

Dedicated to epidural infusion, the Qcore Sapphire Epidural offers the below delivery modes:

  • PCEA (patient-controlled epidural analgesia)
