  • SmartMonitor 2 Apnea Monitor

Designed for hospital or home-use, the SmartMonitor 2 Apnea Monitor detects the cessation of breathing in infants and adults who are at risk of respiratory failure and immediately alerts the parent or healthcare attendant to the condition. This monitor offers the latest life-saving alert technology in one portable and easy-to-use device.

Using 2-channel pneumograph capabilities and diagnostic quality waveforms viewable with Synergy-E software, the SmartMonitor 2 Apnea Monitor detects and alarms for periods of central apnea, high or low heart rate, and high or low saturation. Its universal symbol-based interface reduces inventory and simplifies training, making it easy to determine the patient’s condition when used in home environments.

The SmartMonitor 2 Apnea Monitor is manufactured with four megabytes of internal memory for continuous or event recording. Remote access to data download and online real-time viewing to clinicians is available when using the optional internal mode.

Additionally, the SmartTrace Neonatal/Pediatric Electrodes, designed for use with the SmartMonitor 2 Apnea Monitor, are formulated with two unique patent gels that stay sticky for longer. This patented dual layer hydrogel is gentle on patients’ skin and provides excellent adhesion to prevent delamination and provide controlled placement.

The first layer is gentle, allowing the electrodes to stick, and re-stick, without harming patients’ skin. The second layer is formulated for optimal adhesion to the electrode. Both layers are locked together with a unique mesh layer to prevent deamination and provide controlled placement.

The SmartTrace Neonatal/Pediatric Electrodes mesh sensing grid helps contribute to broad signal detection, and lasts up to ten days with repeated application. Their double soldered wires reduce wire pullout, while the copper wire promotes high-quality tracings.
